A Deal or No Deal tribute site has been set up to catch the mood of the new TV show that has taken the public imagination by storm. The new web site, given the quirky name Deal or No Meal by its creator, will explore the strange fascination people have with games of chance, random numbers and simple luck.

The new web site, given the quirky name Deal or No Meal by its creator, will explore the strange fascination people have with games of chance, random numbers and simple luck.
The web site's creator, Gordon Simpson, explained the odd name. "I was watching the Deal or No Deal show one evening and at the end of it I looked at my watch, only to remember the dinner date that I had just missed. I don't think that's ever happened before. It was then that I knew how powerful the show's hold is over people."
As a web designer, Simpson immediately conceived a plan to build a tribute site to the Deal or No Deal show, to cater for the tastes of people who, like him, have become so captivated by it.
"The Deal or No Deal format is not so much a game show as a reality TV offering", he says. Indeed, the producers of the UK version are Endemol, who also produce shows like Big Brother and its various spinoffs. "The whole purpose of the web site is to give viewers the kind of experience that they enjoy so much on the TV programme."
The new site offers random number generators, games of chance, a currency converter, software to help enhance the odds of winning the lottery, the opportunity to appear in the TV show's audience, and lots more. There are future plans for lots of "freebies" relating to all aspects of gaming online as well as a visitor forum.
The Deal or No Deal tribute site at http://www.dealornomeal.co.uk also has links to online general knowledge games and a trivia quiz game where players can win money, several online bingo games, a lottery syndicate and a members' newsletter which is free to join.
