Ph.D. psychologists launch "YouJustGetMe," an application on the Facebook Platform, to help people analyze whether others are forming accurate personality impressions of them from their online profiles.

YouJustGetMe helps people analyze whether others are forming accurate personality impressions about them from their online profiles. In the first week, YouJustGetMe was added by nearly 4,000 users.

After users rate themselves on a 40-question personality inventory, people who visit their profile form an impression of them by answering the same 40 questions about the profile owner. Both parties immediately receive an accuracy score that indicates whether the impression matched the truth. The profile owners learn what image they are projecting, and the visitors learn how good they are at what Evans calls "online mind-reading."
