RPh on the Go Announces New Continuing Education Project with University of Illinois
RPh on the Go and the University of Illinois-Chicago Drug Information Center are proud to announce a new continuing education unit focusing on drug allergies and cross-allergy reactions.
Skokie, Ill. (PRWEB) April 27, 2007 -- RPh on the Go and the University of Illinois-Chicago Drug Information Center are proud to announce a new continuing education unit focusing on drug allergies and cross-allergy reactions.
The course, which can be taken online at www.rphonthego.com, explains the mechanisms of drug allergy reactions, describes how drug allergies can manifest, identifies patients at-risk for cross-allergic reactions, discusses cross-allergic testing and recommends a treatment approach for a patient at risk of cross-allergy reactions.
The program, available entirely online, is by Joan Stachnik, clinical assistant professor in the UIC Department of Pharmacy Practice, and is approved for two hours of continuing pharmacy education credit, or .2 CEUs.
The new course is part of a partnership between the nation's leading pharmacist-dedicated staffing firm and a top pharmacy school that will result in eight online courses being offered over the next year--two courses per quarter--and will allow thousands of pharmacists around the country an opportunity to receive first rate instruction from the experts at UIC.
The courses are offered online at RPh on the Go's website, www.rphonthego.com. Any pharmacist is eligible to sign up for the courses, which will fulfill most continuing education requirements.

RPh on the Go and UIC began exploring the idea after a survey found that pharmacists weren't satisfied with their CE options and would be interested in CE credits offered by RPh on the Go.
