Glendale, WI (PRWEB) August 16, 2011

Attorney Andrew Mishlove was recently honored with a unanimous appointment as the only Wisconsin DUI (OWI) attorney on the Governing Board of Regents for the National College for DUI Defense, Inc. (NCDD).

The NCDD, a professional, non-profit corporation dedicated to the improvement DUI defense law, offers the only American Bar Association (ABA) accredited Board Certification program for DUI defense. Andrew Mishlove is the only NCDD Board Certified specialist in Wisconsin; one of the best trained and most experienced DUI defense attorneys in the country.

As one of the top 13 DUI attorneys nationwide that comprise the NCDD Board of Regents, Mishlove will be directly involved in managing all College business matters, including planning legal and scientific NCDD seminars, determining accreditation of other DUI-related seminars, and overseeing the board certification process.

Founded in the mid 1990s, the primary mission and purpose of the College is to promote the public welfare by providing a higher level of training in the unique area of DUI criminal defense law. The College recognizes the need for specialized education and support for defense lawyers who represent individuals accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUI) and other related crimes.

Preeminent Qualifications

DUI Attorney Andrew Mishlove has been involved in the College since the 1990s and has attained national leadership in the field of drunk-driving defense over that time.

Board Certified: Mishlove is board certified in the specialty practice area of DUI Defense Law by the NCDD. Nationwide, fewer than fifty lawyers have been so distinguished by meeting this program’s standards. Board certification attests to Mishlove’s broad knowledge of the science involved in testing for intoxicants, his command of the unique and complex DUI legal issues, and his superlative trial skills.

Summer Session Instructor at the NCDD Session presented at Harvard Law School: Since 1999, Mishlove has attended, co-instructed or instructed at NCDD’s acclaimed Summer Session at Harvard Law School, a “signature” program to develop skills for trial in DUI defense. The session includes training in field sobriety tests, breath and blood tests; techniques in cross-examining police officers and prosecution experts; and using defense expert witnesses. In a recent session, Mishlove instructed the best DUI defense lawyers in the country on effective opening statements at trial, sharing his expertise from more than 30 years of defending clients accused of drunk-driving offenses.

Sustaining Member: Since 2003, Mishlove has been recognized as a “Sustaining Member” by NCDD, an honor bestowed on select defense lawyers who have demonstrated the skill and experience of the original “Founding Members” of the organization. It is a rare honor bestowed by one’s peers.

Wisconsin State Delegate and Seventh Circuit Representative to the NACDL DUI Committee: Mishlove has held the positions of Wisconsin State Delegate to the NCDD and the Seventh Circuit Representative to the DUI Committee of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). As a newly appointed Regent to the NCDD, Mishlove has resigned from these positions, allowing other qualified lawyers to participate at the leadership level of the profession.

Top Rating: The independent lawyer rating service AVVO rates Mishlove 10.0 — at the top of DUI/OWI defense lawyers in Wisconsin and one of the top DUI/OWI defense lawyers in America.

“Best of the Best” In DUI Defense

Through his ascending involvement and recognition in the College, now including a position on the Governing Board of Regents, Attorney Andrew Mishlove is viewed by the leading DUI lawyers in the country as having a singular level of expertise in this special area of DUI law: as one of “the best of the best”. His knowledge, experience and qualifications are preeminent.

“Though I’ve attained much recognition as a top DUI criminal defense lawyer over my years of practice,” states Andrew Mishlove, “the training and knowledge that I’ve received through NCDD has opened my eyes to a whole world of excellence in DUI defense and an amazing community of dedicated, highly intelligent people.”
“As DUI penalties and their impact on people’s lives have increased, I take pride that my role with the College is helping to ensure that clients are provided with the very best possible defense, as they certainly deserve nothing less.”
