Manchester, NH (PRWEB) August 3, 2006 -—
The Food Inventors Network today announced a series of “Roadshows” for fall 2006 and spring 2007. Each weekend-long Roadshow offers food entrepreneurs and inventors an opportunity to give a confidential presentation of a food-related idea to a panel of industry experts. Inventors receive valuable feedback and suggestions for bringing their idea to market. The Food Inventors Network hopes to find novel ideas that it can help bring to market through licensing. When an idea is identified as a good fit, the Food Inventors Network will take the necessary steps to advance the idea and maximize the product’s chance for success.
The Food Inventors Network is a division of Big Idea Group (BIG), the leader in open source innovation in consumer product goods. BIG’s Roadshow model has proven to be highly successful in leveraging the country’s most fertile source of innovation—the independent inventor. Companies turn to BIG and the Food Inventors Network to help them find innovative new product ideas. BIG has amassed the largest independent inventor network in the world, which provides a powerful source of idea generation.
“If you are an executive looking for your company’s next big idea, you want 8,000 people – not 8 people – doing the R&D work on your behalf,” said Michael Collins, president and CEO of Big Idea Group. “Innovation is the cornerstone of business success, yet corporate America struggles to find rich sources of innovation in a cost-effective manner. Independent inventors are this country’s richest source of innovation. Until now, business leaders didn’t know how to access the inventor community, and conversely, independent inventors had no process for exposing their ideas to companies.”
In recent years, many established companies have discovered that using outside resources to augment their internal R&D function is essential to staying competitive. Food Inventors Network acts as a cost effective channel for third-party innovation. Inventors get honest, confidential, and no cost feedback in addition to possible licensing opportunities. Ideas are welcome at all stages of development from raw concept to finished product. Roadshows are the most direct way for inventors to get feedback about their ideas.
