Aerohead Aluminum Boats ‘Phoenix’ Takes Flight in the Nautical City of Seattle, Wash.

Aerohead Aluminum Boats launches a new sexy aluminum boat that has many aviation design and engineering crossover points. The boat performs at high angles of attack and at high speeds and is designed to withstand severe ocean conditions.

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) July 6, 2006 -- There is more flying in Seattle, Wash., than Super Bowl fantasies about the Seattle Seahawks and the latest Boeing Jet. Aerohead Aluminum Boats has developed and launched its second class of vessels in less than 15 months with solid orders in a third class. Founder Travis Brandt, an ex-Coast Guard drug boat navigator and Iowa farm boy turned boat builder, dubbed the company Aerohead Aluminum Boats because of his bent toward aviation and the dream that it is possible to make a practical high speed, highly efficient, comfortable boat within reach of the serious boater.

“The name Aerohead really embodied the nautical and aviation aspects of what we are trying to do,” Travis said.

The newest model will be launched at 0630 on July 6 in Lake Washington near Seattle. The 30’ long boat with a 10’6” beam boat, named “Phoenix” by its owner, demands respect as an 11,000 pound high speed offshore Sport Utility Cruiser. The boat is hefty with all aluminum cabinetry instead of wood.

“Our customer base is not really looking for a yacht experience,” Travis explained. “We find them to be younger families with children who want to really use the boat like they’d use a land rover. They’re into functionality, durability, and ease of maintenance, and they want something to take them out on even bad days and bring them and their loved ones back.”

From a design standpoint, the boat has all the necessary elements of fine aircraft -- aeronautical engineering turned to hydrodynamic engineering. The designer is Jarek Kanios of North Vancouver, B.C.

Aerohead Aluminum Boats in general are designed to have the structural integrity of a military vehicle, the fun and agility of a wave runner, and the range of a small business aircraft. The company builds the boats in Auburn, WA and the boats are sold factory direct. Information on other offerings can be found on its Web site www.aeroheadboats.com.

The company is small enough that it is planning to continue construction on its backlog of orders now and increase production to meet demand. One of the greatest features of Aerohead Aluminum Boats is that if you are interested in having an Aerohead built for you, you deal directly with Travis.
