He qualified for the one shot for a million dollars along with 21 other players. Patrick was last to take a shot at the 165 yard hole and had to get inside of 12 feet to at least win the $1000 closest to the pin prize and a hole-in-one to win the million dollars. Although his hole-in-one trend did not continue he did hit the final shot of the day to win first place and put an end to an amazing golf weekend. The estimated odds of acing a hole with any given swing are one in 33,000. A study by Golf Digest in 2000 said that the odds of getting two holes-in-one in the same round are 67 million to one.
