A Tradition Lives On: 10th Anniversary Edition of Millennium Golf Classic Scheduled for January at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club It must be special if it's a millennium golf tournament that is played every year. But that is what is happening at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, in Williamsburg, Va., where its "one-time-only" event is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2009. The Millennium X Golf Classic, set for January 9-11, began in 2000 with a sell-out field ringing in the new millennium. But when pundits announced the "true" start of the new millennium was actually 2001, the event was held a second time due to popular demand - and sold out again.
