Doherty's East Ave. Irish Pub has recently received a positive review in The Providence Journal because of their extensive selection of beers and complementary foods.

Pawtucket, RI (PREWEB) June 8, 2008 -- Beer lovers have even more cause to celebrate, now that Doherty's East Ave. Irish Pub has received some press attention from Gail Ciapa, The Providence Journal's Food Editor. Pub-goers can have their choice of 155 different types of beer, 42 of which are on draft at the bar and restaurant.

Many of these beers can be paired with different dishes, to bring out the flavor of the food. Examples of the different types of food that were mentioned in the article include: For example, according to the review, the Left Hand Sawtooth Ale "... went to the head of the class with its balancing bitter notes" which complemented the taste of the pulled pork barbeque dish. The reviewer peppered his article with similar vivid descriptions of some of the other menu items.

Co-owner Jack Doherty also created a drink special called a "flight," which is four or six different five-ounce beers to try. The Irish Pub also offers food specials, like 20-cent wings on Monday night after seven in the evening and two sandwich selections for $6 each on Tuesday night after six in the evening.
