Are Free email Providers Guilty Of Censorship? Is AOL, MSN, and Yahoo going too far to curb the dearth of SPAM? This Press Release points to a case that can be made that says they definately are. (PRWEB) January 27 2004--eMedia, LLC, the company that owns the http://www.CrapOnMe.com website, today announces that it has posted on its http://www.CrapOnMe.com website an intriguing and informative editorial that begs the question: "Are Free eMail Providers Guilty Of Censorship?" The Editorial, in its entirety, can be seen at: http://www.craponme.com/editor-show.php?ed=5825.
Conceived by the President of eMedia LLC, http://www.CrapOnMe.com is a site where people have the opportunity to describe how other people have crapped on them. Said Jim J. Hobuss, President of eMedia, LLC, I wanted this to be a fun site. First and foremost, it is entertaining. It has appeal to people who have been crapped on by others because it gives them an opportunity to vent. It has appeal to the people who are considering having a relationship with a person or business because it allows them to see how that person or business has treated other people. And, it is really entertaining to spend a few minutes every day reading some of the stories that people have to tell. The Editorial pages are a place where people can write their opinions about things, without necessarily complaining about how and why they feel abused."
This completely FREE website is valuable to all segments of society, but seems to have its greatest appeal to the 18 -- 45 age bracket. These are the people, research shows, that are the most idealistic and the most upset when others treat them unfairly.
Said Jim J. Hobuss, We are a legitimate sender of alot of email. Presently, we have over 11,000 people on our mailing list. These people have all asked to be on our mailing list, twice! Yet, we find that webmasters at the large free email service providers are throwing not only our mail, but bulk mail from most legitimate bulk mail senders into the Junk or Bulk mail folder. This is very angering to me, as a business owner, because it costs us a lot of money in advertising and site maintenance fees to host the site. People who subscribe and say "I want to receive your mailer" are very valuable to us. To the people who are not receiving our mailer when we send it, after twice telling us they want to receive it, they ought to be as pissed off about this as they would be if they knew someone was taking mail out of their USPS mailbox and throwing it away before they got a chance to see it."
People wishing to read the editorial can access it at http://www.craponme.com/editor-show.php?ed=5825. Unregistered users are required to create an account on the site, which is free to do.
The site is free to access and use.
