Women Get Assertiveness Training Through On-Line Course

An assertiveness training course specifically for women is now available on-line.

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) June 12, 2008 -- This summer women can get assertiveness training through a live on-line course offered by Women & Relationships (www.womenandrelationships.com). The course is specific to women's needs in learning assertiveness techniques to use in all areas of life -- at home, work, and socially. Any woman interested in improving her communication skills is a candidate for this course, which begins July 10th. Women report enriched relationships with their spouses, children, and co-workers after taking this six-session course.

Course director Patricia Sartini explains the popularity of assertiveness training for women: "Although we are at an exciting time in the advancement of women, many women can still struggle with saying no, dealing with difficult people, or using effective conflict resolution skills."

Learning the underlying concepts that support consistent use of assertiveness is part of the training. Appropriate use of assertiveness skills is enhanced by understanding relationship concepts such as boundaries, triangulation, and setting limits. The assertive woman understands when and how to use her skills most effectively in any situation.

"Showing she can communicate assertively is an easy way for a woman to demonstrate self-respect and respect for others, which opens pathways for developing quality relationships in all areas of her life," Sartini says.

Many women find the convenience of learning the material in a small on-line group format attractive and time-saving. It is user-friendly so that sign-up, attending, and participating are simple.
