Tutoring Club Makes List of Top 10 New Franchises

Tutoring Club recognized as an innovative tutoring company among most successful educational franchises in the nation by Entrepreneur Magazine

DISCOVERY BAY, CA (PRWEB) February 2 2004--In its annual ranking of U.S. franchise businesses, Entrepreneur Magazine has ranked Tutoring Club as one of the top ten new franchises for 2004. The San Francisco Bay Area-based company, which was founded in 1991 and began franchise activities in 1999, was ranked 190 out of the top 500 franchise businesses based on financial strength and stability, growth rate, and size of the franchise system.

I attribute the success of our organization to two things: the dedication of each of our franchisees to our goal of creating successful learners, and the quality of the programs weve created to achieve that goal," said Tutoring Club founder and president, Lawrence H. Schwartz.

An industry veteran in learning enrichment programs, Mr. Schwartz created Tutoring Club to develop individualized instruction programs in reading, mathematics and writing for children in grades K-12. Tutoring Club is unique among learning systems in not only its methodology, but in its guarantee to raise each participating childs academic level in less time and at lower cost than any other competing program.

Nearly a decade of honing went into our products and systems before we created our franchise structure," noted Mr. Schwartz. Rather than simply provide qualified instructors for tutoring, we apply highly specialized learning programs to each child based on initial diagnostic assessments of their skills. We then make sure that our efforts are integrated into both the home and school environment through regular conferencing with parents and teachers."

There are currently 85 Tutoring Club franchises throughout the United States. Over the past few years, the company has introduced its TutorAid series to improve skills in core academic areas. These include Rx Reading, Amazing Math, and The Write Way. Through its TutorUp program, Tutoring Club also delivers individualized instruction in science, foreign language and high-school mathematics, and teaches basic learning skills such as note taking, outlining, time management and test preparation, including SAT instruction.

It has been the success of our programs in creating better learners, more than the 'franchise concept itself, that has fueled the growth our organization has experienced over the past five years," said Mr. Schwartz. Parents all over the country have been quick to recognize that helping their children to become better learners is one of the best gifts they can give them -- and our programs have provided both parents and children the confidence that anyone can become a successful learner."
