New Software to Support Learning Process

Lecture Recorder from XemiComputers allows for recording lectures and classes and keeping notes for them, all in the same easy to share lecture file.

(PRWEB) February 5, 2004--XemiComputers (http://www.xemico.com/) has released Lecture Recorder, Windows program specialized for students and scholars. The software allows for recording lectures and classes and keeping notes for them. Both text and audio are saved to the same easy to share lecture file.

To make a lecture summary the program provides several rich-text fields: course, subject, date, lecturer, digest and notes. There is also an option to print the summary.

Built-in audio recorder comes with real-time OGG audio compression, an editor for making cut-outs and voice operated recording mode. All recordings are 8-bit, mono, with 44KHz as the default sampling rate.

To enhance sharing capabilities the program can also export recordings to widely supported sound file formats like WAV, OGG and MP3. Lecture file size can go up to 2GB and that is sufficient for more than 12 hours of uncompressed recording with the highest sampling rate.

Lecture Recorder costs 19.90 USD. Quantity discounts and special campus-wide licensing are available directly from the manufacturer's website.
