Dr. Paul R. Jones Meets Governor Bush

World-Renowned Art Collector Paul Jones displays his famous Paul R. Jones Collection for Black History Month.

(PRWEB) February 7, 2004--On Monday, February 2, 2004, Governor and Mrs. Jeb Bush were pleased and honored to present renowned art collector Paul Jones and a distinguished selection of artworks from the Paul R. Jones Collection.

The exhibition at the Governor's Mansion, that features Dr. Amalia Amaki, Curator of the Paul R. Jones Collection and two Romare Bearden masterpieces, was viewed by a record-breaking crowd of six hundred-fifty (650) people representing the political, educational and business communities. Mr. Jones, a collector for thirty-five years, eloquently said to the audience, "We must weave African-American art into America art; they are one and the same."

This landmark collection is on display at the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee, Florida until March 5, 2004.
