Builders from Heaven, Avoiding Rogue Tradesmen

Rogue Traders, "Cowboy Tradesmen" and Builders from Hell Look Out.

(PRWEB) February 9, 2004-- A new UK web site sets out to find the best tradesmen in Britain. With just three clicks of your mouse you can now find the most reliable builders, plumbers, electricians and more, in your postcode, rated and reviewed by real people.

The new site, My Local Services UK, is a directory of household services, organised by postcode. Both service providers and members of the public can add entries free of any charge. The public can then review those businesses and give them ratings out of 10 against criteria such as reliability, value for money and the quality of the work.

Businesses that achieve and maintain a score of 8 out of 10 receive the sites recommended logo next to their entry. Businesses with the highest ratings appear at the top of their category and postcode.

Tradesmen may buy an enhanced listing in which they can add their logo, email address and text content about the services that they provide. Such listings are not favoured in any way in the rankings. That's a matter for the public to decide.

Malcolm Cooper, founder of the site, said "It's great to be able to use technology to benefit people in their everyday lives. Like many other Ive been ripped off by dodgy workmen so I decided to do something about it".

The site provides the ideal antidote to the regular horror stories about rogue traders. You've heard about the bad guys, now you can find the good tradesmen local to you.

The site is available now and welcomes free entries from tradesmen and the public.
