He's agreed to come to Honolulu and stay at the home of former super model turned mystery maven, Ann Hastings. After he signs a few books and makes some public appearances, his time will be his own. He doesn't count on a new age author being murdered and the ex husband of his hostess being named the prime suspect. Both he and Corinne agree to assist the local police, much to the chagrin of the local police department.

Their investigation uncovers several dark secrets from each authors past and takes them through the mysterious streets of Honolulu's Chinatown district, where many secrets are known, but very few of them disclosed. With Ann's connections in Chinatown, and Corinne's skills as a private investigator, the trio attempt to uncover the identity of the real murder before he, or she, leaves the island.
