Linda Hunt Joins Cast of The Crooked Eye

Academy Award™ winner Linda Hunt (The Year of Living Dangerously) takes on narration duties for the experimental film "The Crooked Eye," due for release in 2009.

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) August 18, 2008 -- Academy Award™ winner Linda Hunt has joined the cast of "The Crooked Eye" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0847208), directed by D.C. Douglas (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0235006).

The film also stars Fay Masterson ("Eyes Wide Shut") and Katherine Boecher ("The Last Word"). It is based upon the short story of the same name, written by Betty Malicoat and adapted to the screen by her son, D.C. Douglas.

The story involves a day-in-the-life-of a preoccupied woman (Fay Masterson) struggling with memories of her recently disintegrated marriage and her warped perception of her surroundings and friends. Linda Hunt provides the intimate narration.

Linda Hunt won an Academy Award™ in 1983 for her portrayal of a male journalist in the film "The Year of Living Dangerously" with Mel Gibson.

"The Crooked Eye" was shot completely on green screen over the course of two days in 2006. However, the environments were created with CGI over the following two years.

The film is slated for release in early 2009.
