Free Medical Microdermabrasion Performed by the Skin Care Expert Who Developed the Procedure. Give blood and receive a Free Microdermabrasion treatment from the developer of the medical microdermabrasion protocol used in medical offices worldwide. In honor of her brother who died Oct. 2003, Kile Law, president of Blue Water Spa, a plastic surgery medical spa, is offering complimentary microdermabrasion treatments to those who donate blood. "I did not invent microdermabrasion, but I worked with the inventors to develop a protocol that is safe, effective and comfortable" says Kile Law, owner of Blue Water Spa, a plastic surgery medical spa in Raleigh, North Carolina. She wrote the clinical manual on microdermabrasion that has been translated into six languages and used worldwide.
In October 2003 Kile's brother and only sibling, Kent Lee, passed away. To honor his memory Kile is asking the Raleigh, North Carolina community where she works and lives to give blood in his honor. In exchange, she will personally perform microdermabrasion treatments at no charge. The first 100 people to show proof of donating blood during May 2004 will receive a complimentary microdermabrasion treatment, performed by Kile Law at Blue Water Spa in June and July 2004.
"May 5th is my brother's birthday, and 2004 is the first birthday he will not be here to celebrate. I would like to give something to the community to honor his memory. I can't think of anything more important than giving blood.
"I no longer peform skin care treatments, and actually the medical aestheticians at Blue Water Spa perform a more luxurious treatment than I ever could. But for those who give blood, I really want to give of myself and meet the people who give in my brother's honor. Microdermabrasion is my favorite treatment and is what I would most like to share with people.
"My brother Kent was one of the most generous people I've ever known. Maybe the most generous. He would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. For most of his life Kent did not have a great deal to give in terms of material things, but everything he did have he gave to others. His greatest joy was sharing what he had with anyone who wanted or needed it. Giving blood is one of the most generous things anyone can do, yet it doesn't take financial wealth to do it. I feel that this is the best way to honor my brother and remember his life. Blood transfusions saved his life in 2001. Had it not been for the generosity of strangers, my brother would never have moved to Raleigh and would never have held my son Luke, who was 10 months old when my brother passed away.
"In the event that more than 100 people bring in proof of donating blood, it will be my privilege to offer $25.00 gift certificates for spa treatments during June and July 2004." Blood can be donated at various locations in the Triangle, call the Red Cross @ 1-800-GIVE-BLOOD for information on locations.
Most spas and medical offices charge $100.00 or more for microdermabrasion. Blue Water Spa charges just $65.00. It is Kile's philosophy that people should be able to experience the best treatments possible at an affordable price. Blue Water Spa is so confident that they offer the best microdermabrasion treatments anywhere that the results are guaranteed.
Kile and the staff of Blue Water Spa wish to thank the community in advance for giving the greatest gift: the gift of life.
