William Hung American Idol Reject Eclipses Clay Aiken, Jessica Simpson, and Eminem

Web search engines are being hit by thousands of requests for the newest star from American Idol, but he cant sing or dance. According to WordTracker.com William Hung has more web searches than such stars as newlywed Jessica Simpson, the rapper Eminem, and even American Idols own Clay Aiken.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 23, 2004---The engineering student from UC Berkeley has become a cult hero for his off-key rendition of Ricky Martins She Bangs" when he auditioned for Idols season three. Many performers have shocked audiences with horrible performances but perhaps William Hung has become the most famous of all.

Im a fan because every time I see or hear William perform he makes me smile," says Benjamin Fitts owner of WilliamHungFans.com. It is Willys enthusiasm and confidence that makes me grin. He is so passionate about performing badly that you cant help but love him."

The cult hero has been asked to perform his She Bangs" rendition for the likes of Jay Leno and Ellen Degeneres. Perhaps most telling of all he has even been lampooned by Saturday Night Live.

It looks like Hong Kong Willie Martin may have the last laugh though. The Associated Press has reported that he will be getting a record deal from Fuse Music Channel and Koch Entertainment.
