Owner of Business Development Group Buys Out Entire Theatre, Gives Away Thousands of Tickets to Mel Gibson's The Passion of The Christ.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 21, 2004 -- Atlanta businessman Rodney Sampson buys out Magic Johnson Theatres in Southwest Atlanta for a special viewing of Mel Gibsons The Passion of The Christ on Monday, February 23, 2004 - two days before the movies official release. Mr. Sampson, CEO of The Intellectual Currency Exchange, plans to give away nearly 3,000 tickets to the public in an effort to spread the truth about the crucifixion of Christ.

Radio One, owned by Cathy Hughes, will partner with Sampson to distribute the tickets on their four Atlanta properties - WHTA 107.9 FM, WPZE 97.5 FM, WAMJ 102.5 FM, WJZZ 107.5 FM. On Wednesday, February 18th, the radio stations will begin ticket give-aways and heavy promotion of the special showing. The all day ticket giveaway will be held on Sunday at Greenbriar Mall with live remotes from the Radio One stations.

Mr. Sampsons firm is the only African-American company working with Icon Productions on The Passion of The Christ. The company has hosted several private screenings of the movie throughout the country, including New Orleans, Atlanta, and a LA screening during the Grammys which included celebrities and entertainers such as actor Chris Tucker and T.D. Jakes.
