Racecar Driver Expands Career with Professional Speaking Edward DuCoin is using the popularity of NASCAR to launch a second career as a professional public speaker. Three speaking engagements including a conference at Harvard booked in next three weeks. Marlton, NJ (PRWEB) February 25, 2004--Edward DuCoin knows a thing or two about moving fast. His company that started with less than a $500 investment went public on NASDAQ in 1999, he has launched a successful business operations consulting firm and his first book will be published this spring entitled "The Glass is Half Full and Frozen".
Now Edward is driving fast, both on the racetrack and to his next professional speaking event. "I love racing and I love even more the fact that the popularity of NASCAR has enabled me to begin a very successful career as a paid speaker". Edward DuCoin has become a professional speaker and his phone keeps ringing with requests. Over the next few weeks, Edward's engagements include a speech in Connecticut for the Waterford Hotel Group and at Harvard University for their 20th Annual Entrepreneurial Conference where DuCoin will be speaking with such notable business people as David Neeleman CEO, JetBlue Airways and Dan Schulman CEO, Virgin Mobile USA.
Many business conferences have racing themes and DuCoin is an obvious choice for a keynote presentation. "I am really looking forward to the Waterford presentation, the theme is Pedal to the Metal, and it will be a great event". DuCoin does not just speak. He offers customers racing trading cards and tee shirts with the conference logo, autograph sessions, NASCAR prizes, and when not racing, will even bring his racecar. Edward added, "it is cool to see men and women line up for a chance to get their picture taken in a real racecar".
While Edward plans to be on the speaking circuit for years his racing career may end soon, but that does not mean he will not be at the track. "At 38 my racing days are limited, but I am starting a Craftsman Truck Team and we expect to be in three to five races later this year. You can, maybe, get me out of the driver seat, but that will be the beginning of my new career in the owners seat". DuCoin says that his team will race the entire 2005 Craftsman Truck schedule and by 2007 will have a NEXTEL Cup Team. ###
