ESGR to team up with local Chambers of Commerce to salute America's supportive employers

Local Chambers of Commerce in the nation to sponsor ESGR Employer Outreach Seminars. These informative seminars and symposiums will provide employers the resources to ensure their company's compliance with the USERRA laws.

Arlington, VA (PRWEB) February 27, 2004 --- The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) will team up with local Chambers of Commerce to salute Americas supportive employers of National Guardsmen and Reservists. This proactive approach is a first for ESGR, a Department of Defense Agency, known formerly as a resource primarily for Guardsmen and Reservists.

Saluting America's Employers is the right thing to do and this is the right time to do it". During this time of unprecedented mobilizations of the brave men and women who serve in the National Guard and Reserve, the mission of ESGR has evolved from an emphasis on the individual Reservist to their employer" said Mr. Bob Hollingsworth, ESGR Executive Director.

The ESGR National Employer Outreach Program for 2004 is unique for ESGR, as we will introduce a new 5-Star Employer Support Program in approximately 100 cities this year. In addition, ESGR Employer Symposiums will be conducted in a limited number of cities to provide employers the resources to ensure their company's compliance with the USERRA laws, and suggestions on how best to manage their employees who serve their country in the National Guard and Reserve",added Hollingsworth.

ESGR and Richard Childress Racing will also bring together a Dream Team" of NASCARs biggest stars for a five race NASCAR Busch Series salute to Americas Supportive employers of National Guardsmen and Reservists. The ESGR #29 car will be painted in a rotating paint scheme at each race to honor all National Guard and Reserve Components. In addition to this unique race plan, a NASCAR show car, known as Americas Car", will be displayed at the Chamber of Commerce functions. The American public will have the opportunity to be photographed with Americas Car", and sign their name to several large Support our Troops" banners.
