Anti-Obama.com Reports Brisk Traffic to Its New Web Site

Traffic to www.anti-obama.com has been boosted by statements from both Senator Hillary Clinton and presumed Republican nominee Senator John McCain who've repeatedly used the words "anti-Obama" in discussing various items running on political related blogs and other web sites. The mainstream news media have also generated traffic for the site.

Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) July 6, 2008 -- Whether they are looking for t-shirts to express their political views or substantive position papers to educate themselves, visitors have been flocking to www.anti-obama.com since its launch earlier this year.

A recent search for "anti-obama" on a major search engine yielded more than 550,000 sites currently using the term and more than 900 news items.

"We actually purchased www.anti-obama.com as an investment, not as a political statement," says a spokesperson for the website. "Knowing that Barak Obama, the presumed Democratic nominee would have both fans and detractors, we thought the site would be very likely to generate large numbers of visitors - and we were correct."

A good example is the July 1, 2008 headline in USA Today that reads: "'Anti-Obama' blogs back up; should conspiracists be feeling 'a little silly?'

"People who do direct search - entering a web address directly rather than using a search engine, often just type in 'anti-Obama' in their web browser's address box," explains the site's spokesperson. She adds that the site's owners have received offers to purchase the URL and is willing to discuss terms with any bona fide buyer.
