New Mexico Inventor Invents Educational Clock to Help Teach Time

An inventor has come up with the Time Teach Clock, an educational tool that could teach a child how to read an analog clock.

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) July 11, 2008 -- Teaching time to children can be a difficult task. With so many digital clocks appearing everywhere these days, children don't even really have to learn how to tell time on a conventional analog clock. This is why William McNay, from Ruidoso, N.M., has invented the "Time Teach Clock."

An ideal concept for pre-kindergarten to third grade teachers or home-schooling parents, the Time Teach Clock could teach a user how to read an analog clock, as well as teach names of colors, roman numerals and count from one to 12. According to the inventor, the invention could also assist in teaching basic arithmetic.

The Time Teach Clock is made of plastic, and the dimensions of the unit would be 24" high, 24" wide. The invention is easy to use, and can help children learn the importance of being able to tell time.

The inventor was inspired to think of his invention because of a friends dilemma. "A teacher friend of mine was frustrated in trying to use provided materials to teach time at school," said McNay. "I offered to build a clock for her use."

McNay exhibited last month at INPEX® 2008, where he was searching for a licensee for the product. INPEX® is America's Largest Invention Trade Show, held annually in Pittsburgh, Pa.
