NSC Introduces ShareIt FTP Server 1.6 For Microsoft Pocket PC Handhelds

New features include:

* Deflate transmission mode (MODE Z). Co-developed by NSC, this open standard FTP extension can increase network throughput and decrease transfer times by compressing file and system data using the same techniques found in ZIP utilities.

* Access control support. This security feature lets administrators restrict access to their ShareIt FTP server by filtering TCP/IP addresses.

* User interface enhancements. New icons and layout help users navigate and configure ShareIt FTP more efficiently.

* Overall performance improvements.

ShareIt FTP 1.6 is available immediately through the NSC software store (www.nsctech.com) and other online resellers for a suggested retail price of $69.95 USD. A time limited trial version is also available from the same locations. The software requires a Microsoft Pocket PC 2000, 2002 or Windows Mobile device with an ARM or XScale processor and 1 megabyte or more of storage space.
