Darim Introduces 4 Channel MPEG4 Encoder Board with full D1 Resolution at 30 Frames Per Second

Quality video can be achieved with average frame sizes from 4 to 8 KiloBytes per frame. Designed with expansion in mind, the SP444 supports four boards in one system capable of handling up to 16 channels of digital video recording to work with enterprise server applications.

The new SP444 board is an upgrade from Darim's classic SP408 board. It encodes on the board, rather than utilizing the system processor, thus enabling dramatically higher resolution and frame rates. SP444 allows for full D1 resolution for broadcast video quality in both PAL and NTSC formats at 30 FPS on each channel at up to eight mega bits per second (Mbps) data rates. By utilizing MPEG 4 quality files, security users realize significantly smaller file sizes and diminished requirements for bandwidth, storage, and system complexity while achieving high image quality.
