CKMG Launches New Online Portal to Assist Veterans and Their Families

Content Kings, Inc. recently launched PostMilitary.com, a comprehensive online resource for military veterans and their families.

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) July 14, 2008 -- Content Kings, Inc., a full-service Web site development and optimization company, unveiled an online portal for members of the U.S. armed services on June 16. PostMilitary.com launched as a resource to help military professionals and their families make the difficult transition back to civilian life.

The new site accommodates the entire military community. Key features include comprehensive guides to government benefits, in addition to career, education, financial and housing resources. Users have access to transition advice and personal development tools. PostMilitary.com is also a source for military news.

"This is an ongoing project that will grow into a leading resource for veterans seeking advice on transitioning back to civilian life," said Tom Elliott, CEO of CKMG. "Veterans and their families deserve the tools and resources needed to succeed in the civilian world. PostMilitary.com (http://www.postmilitary.com/) was developed to honor the selfless service given to America by our Military Veterans and their supportive families so they may be empowered to succeed in their new endeavors."

Elliott said he conceptualized PostMilitary.com based on his own separation from the military. "I was completely lost. It took me a couple years to figure out how to properly apply my military skills to a civilian career. I didn't realize how valuable my military experience was spending time with my peers in college who seemed to be years behind me when it came to responsibility, work ethic, teamwork and adaptability. My goal with PM is to help remind those who have served of their value in the civilian work force while providing them with the resources needed to figure out which career path (http://www.postmilitary.com/career-center/) is right for them."

For Elliott, military service was part of family tradition. "I'm a second generation Paratrooper, recruited by my grandfather - Leo Gomez, who served with his brothers in the Korean War. There were three Gomez brothers in uniform during the Korean war; it was after the oldest brother Jesse gave his life in Korea that youngest brother Leo enlisted."

Elliott attributed his grandfather's philanthropy as a source of inspiration for PostMilitary.com. "He's given back to the community for over 30 years, as a Paratrooper, as President of the Southern California Chapter of Airborne Veterans and as one of 10 National Directors of the 82nd Airborne Division Association. This site is my way of following in his footsteps."

Elliott said he has big plans for PostMilitary.com. "We'll be reaching out to different military branches (http://www.postmilitary.com/branch-of-service/), offering ourselves as a resource." he said. "The site will continuously evolve. We are coming up with new ways to honor those who have served."

Elliott said that through partnerships and outside funding, PostMilitary.com plans to become a regular part of military transition programs. "We encourage veterans and potential investors interested in upholding the principals at PostMilitary.com to contact us and help this site reach its full potential."
