National Association Announces The AFAs 24th Annual Semi-Pro Football Gold Ball Award" Recipients

The American Football Association announced today the names of their annual Gold Ball Award" winners for the 2003 semi-pro football season. Each year the AFA national association honors individuals in several different categories with a special award recognizing the recipients for their outstanding accomplishments during the proceeding football season.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES THE AFAS 24TH ANNUAL SEMI-PRO FOOTBALL GOLD BALL AWARD" RECIPIENTS

The American Football Association announced today the names of their annual Gold Ball Award" winners for the 2003 semi-pro football season. Each year the AFA national association honors individuals in several different categories with a special award recognizing the recipients for their outstanding accomplishments during the proceeding football season.

Gold Ball Award winners are chosen from among players, coaches and executives from the more than 650 semi-pro football teams across the country participating in 60 different semi-pro football leagues coast-to-coast. 2003 AFA Gold Ball Award" winners receive special 'commemorative certificates in honor of their accomplishments during the 2003 semi-pro football season.

The following are the AFA Gold Ball Award" recipients for 2003:

AFAs 'Most Valuable Player of the Year:

Jay Hawes - Quarterback - Brooklyn (NY) Mariners

AFA 'Coach of the Year:

Robert 'Pudgie Walsh - Brooklyn (NY) Mariners 17-0

AFA 'General Manager of the Year:

AFA 'Offensive Player of the Year:

AFA 'Defensive Player of the Year:
