Christopher Farrell Scores One in the Gun

The Farrell/Kanefsky Collaboration Continues as Christopher Farrell scores the music for neo-noir film ONE IN THE GUN.

Hollywood, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) July 16, 2008 -- On a blistering sun-soaked afternoon at the famous 4-Aces film location in California's high desert, Christopher Farrell is working on the set supervising the music playback of "Finally Through With You", a song he had just written for a surreal scene featuring a sinister performance by Robert Davi.

Farrell, an award winning film composer/songwriter, is also composing the underscore for One in the Gun. The film, written and directed by acclaimed veteran filmmaker Rolfe Kanefsky, features an outstanding cast including Robert Davi, Stephen Bauer and James Russo. The film revamps the film noir genre paying tribute to such classics as Double Indemnity (Billy Wilder) and Mulholland Drive (David Lynch).

The Farrell/Kanefsky collaboration now includes over eight features including comedies (Pretty Cool), dramas (Tomorrow by Midnight) and most recently After Dark Horror Fest's acclaimed action/horror feature, Nightmare Man. "Rolfe has a razor sharp vision of what he wants music to do for his films and I feel lucky that our relationship affords me the opportunity to write in a variety of musical styles," says Farrell.

Farrell has written scores for over twenty-five feature films in a variety of genres in which he has proven his musical talent and versatility. He recently completed scoring Steve McQueen: an American Rebel where he also teamed up with LA recording artist Chadwick to write and perform the title song, "One Helluva Ride".
