Rembert Area Community Coalition Chairman Featured for Charity Work

Juanita Britton, the Rembert Area Community Coalition chairperson, which is based out of Rembert, North Carolina, was recently featured in the Item, a local newspaper, for her endeavors with the Coalition.

Rembert, SC (PRWEB) July 17, 2008 -- For Juanita Britton, working to help others is nothing out of the ordinary, but according to the Item, an area local newspaper, it's enough to get you inducted into the Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry.

Nine years ago, Britton established the Rembert Area Community Coalition, which has implemented after-school programs, kid's café, a backpack program and a senior citizens' food program.

But for Britton, her new found fame is just another way to help her spread the word about helping others.

"To know someone other than the community is aware of the progress we have made is gratifying even though I know there is more work to do," she said in the feature. "It also opened up the opportunity for tapping into new resources that may assist in accomplishing our organization's mission of revitalizing the community."

The vision of the Rembert Area Community Coalition is to instill a renewed self esteem of residents, while providing the courage and leadership to take a proactive stance to address challenges of being a rural community; ultimately equipping residents with the tools and skills essential to making contributions in the community.

About the Rembert Area Community Coalition

The Rembert Area Community Coalition is a non profit 501(c)(3) and certified Community Development Corporation, which gives our community a quasi-governmental structure to bring needed resources and services into the Rembert Community. As an unincorporated township, our community is lacking many necessities neighboring towns may have, such as; increased law enforcement, healthcare, paved roads, community centers and shopping centers. The Rembert Area Community Coalition's mission is to capitalize on geographical location and exploit existing historic assets to create a mix-use bedroom community where residents can live, work, shop and play.
