FoxÂs Newest Reality TV Star Proves We All Need to Sharpen Our Gaydar Skills With the first two eliminations, midwestern darling Jackie of Playing It Straight learns she may have just lessened her chances at a $1 Million prize. Elko, NV (PRWEB) March 15, 2004 Friday night premiered the first episode of Fox TVÂs newest reality show called Playing It Straight. Hosted at the Sizzling Saddles Ranch in Nevada, the rustic setting is perfect for throwing off the Gaydar of its star, Jackie. The men learn of the twist early on  that several of the 14 contestants vying for the love of one woman are gay. If she chooses a straight man in the end, the couple will split a whopping $1 million prize. If the man she falls for is gay, then he keeps the entire prize for himself. As we watch the men nervously try to detect who is gay and who is straight, weÂre trying to do the same from the comfort of our own homes. Producers smartly chose contestants who were straight  yet very effeminate, along with gay men who were able to fake a straight demeanor. While the show aired, viewers logged onto http://www.GotGaydar.com to vote on the contestants themselves. One contestant, Sharif, noted in an interview that all women had working Gaydar. He believed that since women notice small gestures, body language, and eye contact more than men, Jackie was sure to know right away who was deceiving her. In the end, however, JackieÂs Gaydar wasnÂt working that night. She chose two of the 14 contestants to eliminate  both of whom turned out to be straight men. Gust was eliminated because of the way he sat next to Jackie on the swing and because of the feminine qualities of his voice. Louis was also out the door after Jackie thought he was hiding something because he wasnÂt as outgoing as the others. The star of the show seemed very agitated upon learning about the twist. ItÂs understandable. While we at home watched with blatant curiosity, she had $1 million to lose. Suddenly, things that normally wouldnÂt have entered her mind were weighing heavily upon her decision  such as the fact that only one man out of 14 owned a hair dryer. Is he a metrosexual or a homosexual? Who knows what will happen when she discovers which of the men are sleeping in the pink room of the house  dolled up to closely resemble that of a little girlÂs room. LetÂs hope she logs on to http://www.GotGaydar.com to hone her skills before the next elimination ceremony. Want to know if you would be booted off the show for seeming too gay?
