FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (PRWEB) March 21, 2004--MOVING iMAGE TECHNOLOGIES (MiT), a US-based manufacturer and integrator of leading-quality presentation equipment and display technologies for the cinema industry, have named CORE DIGITAL, producers of high-definition original content and events including the Academy Awards and the Superbowl, as strategic entertainment partners in the deployment of iNET, a Digital Network System designed to deliver exciting, unique and high-quality content to audiences worldwide.

The iNET Digital Network is a scalable, turnkey system that seamlessly integrates flexible and affordable digital presentation technology with engaging entertainment content.

CORE DIGITAL provides media buyers and cinema operators with fully produced content for the iNET system -- live events broadcast via satellite, fiber-optics, DVD and computer media are all viable media," says Scott Barker, CORE DIGITAL CEO and President. Founded in 1984, CORE DIGITAL has produced thousands of sports and entertainment events including the Superbowl, the Oscars, and the Olympics.

iNET takes pre-show content to the next level -- we can produce original high-definition, optimized entertainment segments, aggressive advertising campaigns and live concert and event broadcasts for delivery via iNET system hardware creating yet another source for entertainment at the theatre," says Barker.

According to a recent Arbitron Study (The Arbitron Cinema Advertising Study, 2003), cinema advertising reaches young, affluent and active customers by fully engaging the impact of the cinema format. Further, 62% of young adults between the ages of 18-24 feel that Cinema advertising is more interesting than ads on TV. iNET enables cinema owners to tap new advertising opportunities by offering compelling entertainment with optimal digital clarity.

With iNET, everyone wins," says Joe Delgado, MiTs Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Advertisers get captive audiences, audiences experience pre-show entertainment in a new and exciting format and exhibitors increase revenue by making their screens more profitable, more often."

MiT offers a complete menu of training, technical support and other services to support the system. "As the technology continues to evolve, MiT provides continuing support to iNET System operators," says Delgado. Our goal is to establish long-term relationships between MiT, ad suppliers and exhibitors."

MiTs iNET Digital Network System delivers unprecedented flexibility for theater management. iNET-enabled chains can change pre-show entertainment, alternative content such as sporting events and concerts, advertisements and more from a centrally-located computer. The flexible nature of the software allows it to playback most all media types in their native format and can be remotely updated to incorporate future improvements and software upgrades," adds Bevan Wright, MiT Executive Vice President of Operations.

We have created a tool that will make it affordable for exhibitors to realize the flexibility and potential economic benefits of digital cinema while enhancing the in-cinema experience for their audiences," says Delgado.

MiTs open-architecture design is tailored to support the individual needs of the cinema owner and interfaces with existing automation, audio and point-of-sale systems, reinforcing MiTs commitment to deliver cost-effective and logical technology solutions to the exhibition industry.

D

elgado concludes, Combining the in-house" high-definition content produced by CORE DIGITAL with the infrastructure and on-going support system developed by our team at MiT, the iNET Digital Network System is poised to increase revenues, improve operational efficiencies, and provide audiences with a dynamic and entertaining movie-going experience unmatched in the marketplace."

MOVING iMAGE TECHNOLOGIES will demonstrate the iNET Digital Network System in booths 1729, 1731, 1828 and 1830 at the ShoWest 2004 conference and exposition, March 23 - 25 at Ballys Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.
