Niko Chocheli, who now resides in Doylestown, Pa. is one of the foremost artists to emerge from the Republic of Georgia. The U. S. government, in fact, formally acknowledged Mr. Chocheli's artistic achievements and extraordinary talent. In 1997, Mr. Chocheli joined a prestigious list of great artists (such as Yo Yo Ma) who were granted lawful permanent residence because of their "extraordinary ability in the arts". His art is best described as classical, figurative, and representative combing the old master realism of such greats as Rembrandt and Rubens with the attention to line and color of the great eastern masters.
