WIDGET claims 9% of PDA peripherals market and exhibits at Computer Retail Show, NEC, April 6-7

Widget UKs MVD distribution arm now has 9% of the UK market for PDA accessories, and a significant presence in the market for hand held scanning devices. The specialist distributor is showing TomTom, Kirrio, Wayfinder and Iris brands to resellers and retailers at Stand CR512, Computer Retail Show, Hall 6 NEC, April 6-7th

Knebworth, UK (PRWEB) March 27, 2004--Widgets distributorships with TomTom, Kirrio, ViaMichelin and Wayfinder helped it to increase its market share from 6% in 2002 to 9% in 2003. Most of the growth was accounted for by the increasing sales of global positioning systems which work with Pocket PCs and with Palm PDAs.

Handheld Scanning Devices

The other target markets for Widget is that for business card scanners and handheld pen scanners. No figures are available for these markets, but in Iris and CardScan, Widget represents the two major vendors in the business card scanning market, and in Iris and Wizcom, Widget represents the two major vendors in the handheld pen scanner market.
