Fleet Logistics Systems are 'Turbo Charged For Growth' says Free Industry Report

Free report portfolio by leading industry organisations, including Frost & Sullivan and CJ Driscoll give crucial insight for the future of the fleet management systems industry.

(PRWEB) August 18, 2008

The Fleet Logistics system industry participants have only managed to penetrate a relatively small percentage of the potential market, according to a specially commissioned report by Frost and Sullivan, now available for free.

In the first of three reports comprised by 3 leading industry business information providers, Senior Industry Analyst, Heavy Truck Technologies, Sandeep Karr highlights details why this potential remains untouched. "Market participants must develop solutions featuring simplified human-machine interfaces and secondly, the high installation and lifecycle costs will continue to be a financial concern for fleets" writes Karr, before detailing the industry trends.

The three reports provide in depth data and analysis on market trends, the increased pressure of drivers and the successful fleet logistics solutions that are being snapped up by the fleet segments from across the USA, despite being hard hit by the global fuel crisis. According to the report, this is a big limiter for fleet operators to invest in new technology. In 2007, only 4.8 percent of potential subscribers were actual subscribers. This is projected to grow to 28.2 percent in 2013.

Partnering with Telematics Update in preparation for the USA's leading two day event for the industry, Frost & Sullivan, ABI and CJ Driscoll will also be key speakers at LFMS USA, to be held in Atlanta, on the 23-24th October 2008. Also firmly endorsing the event are key industry players and event sponsors, Trimble and Tele Atlas. They will be joined on stage by leading industry players and visionaries from across the USA, including well known shippers and fleet operators participating in highly interactive sessions.

"Fleet management and logistics solutions providers are highly reactive to the demands of fleet operators and shippers alike. Today, the right value must be provided at the right price, or operators simply will not invest because they can't." says Rayan Jawad LFMS USA Producer / Director. "What these reports do is state the fundamental facts about what is happening in the industry, backed up by market trend data that gives the industry direction for its 2009 business strategy."

The free reports available on the Logistics & Fleet Management systems website detail state of the industry and course of action required by solution providers for industry growth, profits and leadership. These directly compliment LFMS USA 2008, where the industry is gathering for the 7th consecutive year to discuss the hands on techniques, methods and view demonstrations of exactly how to tend to industry needs, with a particular focus of system integration, synchronisation and data sharing in real time across the logistics network. There are also key sessions which look at how to provide low cost mobile fleet systems that maximise the existing resources of fleet system providers.
