Donate a Night Out for a Military Couple

Military wives have formed a group that enables donors to thank service men and women by donating a dinner for two.

(PRWEB) March 28, 2004--A group of military wives have created a website where the public can donate a dinner for two to service members returning home from a tour of duty.

We are a group of military wives dedicated to helping our men and women in uniform who have sacrificed so much for our country and our way of life. We deeply understand and appreciate their sacrifice," said Lumana Seide, military wife and one of the organizers of the project.

Members of the military may visit http://HeroMeal.com where they can register to receive the night out at a local restaurant courtesy of an American who wants to say thanks." There is no cost to the service member.

Donors who would like to make a pledge of support of $20 or more can go to http://HeroMeal.com to make the donation online.

Seide and her group match donors to service members who request help, then make all the arrangements for the night out at a local restaurant. There are many more service members asking for the gift than there are donors, so Seide and her group have issued a special appeal.

We started this website as way for us and other patriotic Americans to show our support and gratitude for our men and women in uniform for their sacrifice and service. We hope many more generous Americans will help us in this effort," said Seide.

This service is absolute free to military members. HeroMeal.com is supported by private donations and discounts offered by restaurants.
