Parry Gripp From Nerf Herder Asks "Do You Like Waffles?", Millions Agree!

Parry Gripp's YouTube phenomenon "Do You Like Waffles?" hits the big time with it's very own album, a collection of 24 deliciously mad and 100% kid friendly jingles on Oglio Records, A Fontana/Universal distributed label. Fans have created over 2,100 direct video responses of their own version of the video accounting for nearly 10 million views. This doesn't include the several thousand other "...Waffles" videos that are not directly linked to the official video or at the other video sites where the song is posted!

Making a video response to the mind bending catchiness of "Do You Like Waffles?" has become a virtual rite of passage for groups of kids. The true viral nature of the YouTube buzz has also led to a deal with Hallmark Cards where composer Parry Gripp will supply music for their Hoops & YoYo franchise. Parry, best known for composing the theme to the international television hit, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, with his band Nerf Herder, was contacted by an advertising firm who was looking for a song to help promote a frozen waffle product that came with its own dipping sauce. "My interest was piqued by the project's absurdity (and the mention of $20,000)." After Nerf Herder classics like "Van Halen", "Mr. Spock", and "Sorry", Parry turned his focus to jingles. "My first attempt was, 'Do You Like Waffles?', which I wrote in five minutes. Bingo, I felt I was at the top of my game and for the first time in a while, I was really enjoying writing music."
