||Angel Orensanz: A Digital Universe: A New York Premiere of Orensanzs Video Work|| Howl Festival" and the Federation of East Village Artists" presents at The Pioneer Theater, an anthology of the last four years of video work of New York based artist Angel Orensanz. This selection consists of five videos,Spheroid Memories",Earth Face", Burning Universe" , Kunstflucht", In Nasas Lab" and The Craters of Mars".

(PRWEB) April 5 2004--Born in Spain and established in New York since 1985, Angel Orensanz has developed an extensive body of work in sculpture, drawings, installations (Holland Park, London), conceptual work (The Shattered Tent) and multimedia work (Burning Universe", Venice 2003).

His work conveys the corrosive tempo of the surrealist and dadaist revolutions (Thomas McEvilley and Carlo MacCormick), what explains the frequent reference to Luis Bunuel in his work.

The first international review of the video work of Orensanz took place last Summer and Fall in Venice, concurrent with the 30th Biennale of Venice. For six months, the show Burning Universe" at Palazzo Malipiero in the heart of Venice was visited by some 80,000 people who made it one of the popular exhibitions.

Burning Universe" run parallel to a presentation of a large sculpture piece, an hommage of Angel Orensanz to Bunuel titled Razor in the Eye" in Lido, in the context of the 50th Venice Film Festival.

Angel Orensanz is the force behind a weekly cable TV, Arts from the Orensanz" that airs every Tuesday at 9 PM on channel 34 (Time Warner Television).
