The medical facts provided on the web site are communicated in a clear, concise way to help the general public learn more about how to identify and successfully treat several types of cancer.
"Weve worked to develop a web site that not only delivers information about CRCCs capabilities, but also serves as an educational tool for people seeking more in-depth information about various types of cancer and the treatment options available to them," said Dr. Steve Bass, CRCCs president and clinical director. "When people hear the word 'cancer, their first reaction is fear, and knowledge is the greatest weapon against fear. So, weve designed our web site to, hopefully, ease some of the fear of cancer by providing knowledge about what several cancers involve and how they can be successfully be treated."
The CRCC web site has already been praised for both its design and clarity by professional communicators. It was recently given a Silver award at the 20th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards held earlier this May. The awards are sponsored by the well-respected national trade journal, Healthcare Marketing Report. In early 2003, it was honored with a Silver ADDY award at the 2003 American Advertising Federations ADDY Awards sponsored by the AAFs Coastal Advertising and Marketing Professionals chapter.
Located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, S.C., CRCC offers one of the most advanced cancer treatments available, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). Explained in detail on the CRCC Web site, IMRT offers hope, where previously there often was none. Recognized by radiation oncologists as the greatest technological advancement in radiation therapy in the past 30 years, IMRT is an extremely precise and complex form of radiation therapy that delivers high doses of radiation to cancer cells while minimizing the exposure of nearby healthy tissue.
The CRCC Web site was designed and is maintained by LHWH Advertising & Public Relations of Myrtle Beach.
