Santa Cruz Pet Partners Awarded Exclusive Distribution Rights to Kid Safe Alert Monitor in its Market Sector New Child Safety Device to be availabe through independent pet stores SANTA CRUZ, CA (PRWEB) April 11, 2004---Santa Cruz Pet Partners, LLC, which operates a nationwide network for distribution of unique and unusual products to independent pet stores and other locally based outlets, has been granted an exclusive license to sell the new Kid Safe Wireless Alert System through its associated retail outlets, it was announced today by Dennis Murray, president and CEO. The units are available in the U.S. through independent pet product stores.
This product is an excellent example of the way Pet Partners aims to elevate the fortunes of the independent pet products retailer," Murray said. There are 50,000 such stores in the U.S. and many of them are in trouble because of the incursion of national chains, which benefit from their mass-buying capabilities and are in a position to drive smaller competitors out of the market.
By offering unique, high-end products that are unavailable in the mass market, we help independents sustain and grow their businesses. In doing so, we are also aiding specialized pet products manufacturers, many of whom lack the distribution capabilities to get beyond their local markets. We give them national reach overnight."
The Kid Safe System is a response to increasing concerns about child safety, Murray said. Kid Safe is an invisible containment system that issues a visual and audible alarm when a child has left the area where he/she is supposed to be. It is ideal for trips to the park or playground, or any time a child is in a public place.
The system is comprised of a small handheld receiver which monitors three children simultaneously. Small lightweight transmitter units are worn around the neck on a necklace or carried in a childs pocket, and are programmed to emit a signal if the child goes beyond certain limits or is in water. Kid Safe operates on the 315 MHz frequency in the U.S. and 333 MHz in Europe, with a range of 30 feet (10 meters) on the short range setting and 80 feet (26 meters) on the long range setting. The system consists of one hand-held receiver and three miniature transmitters and retails for $99.95.
