
Where Olympians Train: CATZ Sports Sends 18 Athletes to the Beijing Olympics Beach Volleyball Star Misty May-Treanor and USA Soccer Captain Kate Markgraf lead an impressive roster of 18 CATZ-trained Olympians to Beijing. Needham, MA (PRWEB) August 6, 2008 CATZ Sports Performance Centers (CATZ) is pleased to announce that eighteen CATZ-trained athletes will be participating in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. These athletes all rely on CATZ to prepare them to excel in their sport. Highlighting the list of CATZ-trained Olympians are Misty May-Treanor, the reigning gold medalist in Beach Volleyball, and Kate Markgraf, co-captain of the USA Women's Soccer Team. May-Treanor and partner Kerri Walsh form the winningest team in beach volleyball history. May-Treanor won the Gold Medal in the 2004 Athens Olympics, was named Most Valuable Player of the AVP Tour in 2005 and 2007 and has won three consecutive FIVB World Championships. May-Treanor trained at the CATZ training facility in Anaheim, CA. Markgraf will be seeking her third Olympic Medal in Beijing, having previously won Gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics and Silver at the 2000 Sidney Olympics, as well as a World Cup Championship in 1999. She ranks second on the team with 185 caps, just behind fellow co-captain Christie Rampone. Markgraf trained at CATZ in Needham, MA.
