COLUMBIA, MD -- The American Association for Affirmative Action (AAAA) hosts its 30th annual conference in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 22, 2004 invites Dawn Hyde, president of Berkshire Associates, an industry expert, to facilitate an affirmative action workshop.
Senator Edward Kennedy, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, and NAACP leader Julian Bond are just a few of the invited speakers who will be on hand to address one of this nations most controversial issues. Some of the action items slated for this conference include discrimination within universities, surviving an Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program (OFCCP) audit, adverse impact, religion on campus and in the workplace, affirmative action/diversity workplace strategy, and a workshop on how to successfully establish a minority, women owed and disadvantaged business program.
Dawns topic, Cultivating Your Affirmative Action Program on Fertile Ground," will address OFCCP and EEOC affirmative action and diversity policy as it relates to the workplace.
