Austin, Texas (PRWEB) August 11, 2008 -- As the gap between the euro and the dollar continues to widen, more U.S. students are looking beyond the traditional European study abroad experience to more economical study abroad destinations in regions such as Latin America. International Studies Abroad (ISA), an international education provider based in Austin, Texas, proudly announces the expansion of four new study abroad opportunities for university students in Viña del Mar, Chile; Guadalajara, Mexico; and Cusco and Lima, Peru. An extensive range of course offerings taught both in English and Spanish are offered in each location.

ISA's Language, Culture, and Courses in English program in the traditional yet modern city of Guadalajara, Mexico at the Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara now offers enrollment in semester courses in addition to the summer program that was successfully launched in June 2008. Students may choose from courses taught in English in subjects such as politics, economics, art history, and sociology along with Spanish language and culture courses. With Guadalajara's history dating back to the 16th century, México's colonial gem is a museum of a city waiting to be discovered.

The allure of Chile as a study abroad destination due to its incredible topography, its role as a leader in the Latin American economy and its rich literary and cultural heritage drove ISA to open programs in Valparaiso and Viña del Mar in 1996. As the allure continues, ISA is proud to partner with the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez to offer additional opportunities for students. In this program, students may choose from business and culture courses taught in English, as well as Spanish language courses and courses with Chileans.

ISA also has recently developed a partnership with the Universidad de San Ignacio de Loyola in Cusco and Lima, Peru. While the ISA site in Lima has been open since 2006, ISA Cusco is a new program for students. In both of these programs, students are provided with the chance to peek into the enamoring Andean life that delicately holds one of the New Open World Corporation's New Seven Wonders of the World - Macchu Picchu.

ISA is a leader in international education since its founding in 1987, sending thousands of US and Canadian students abroad each year to Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and North Africa. ISA encourages foreign language acquisition, inter-cultural understanding, international awareness, career transformation and personal growth through full-service educational programs of the highest quality at very competitive prices.
