Users will be able to highlight words or phrases in documents or text fields and open the thesaurus by clicking a hot key combination, without ever leaving their original program. The thesaurus will display searchable lists of synonyms, antonyms and related words. Results for generalized terms can be narrowed by allowing users to select specific definitions. In addition to providing a history of words looked up in a session, the new thesaurus also gives users the ability to step backwards through their results to locate a term from previous lookups.
