Athena Smartcard Solutions Releases ASECard for Windows Logon Solution

ASECard Crypto for Windows, based on the high performance ASECard Crypto smart card, is a 64K byte cryptographic token solution for all Windows smart card services.

ASECard Crypto for Windows version 3.0 supports Windows smart card logon, e-mail signing and encryption, smart card secured VPN, SSL, Terminal Services, Run As and secure storage of Microsoft CA root certificates. In version 3.0 additional support was added to Checkpoint VPN, Adobe Acrobat 6.0 in addition to the previously supported third party solutions such as Citrix, Entrust, PGP, SSH, and Netscape.

The new release includes support for multiple containers, importing, exporting and viewing certificates, automatic loading of certificates to the PC certificate store, and improved performance, ASECard Crypto for Windows users experience LAN logon times of under 2 seconds and unmatched performance in Terminal Services remote logon.

Administrators also gain access to powerful card personalization tools and flexible security profile management. Windows Smart Card Logon with full support for User, Unblock, and Administrator passwords and password complexity rules, smart card enrollment can start minutes after installation of the ASECard Crypto for Windows Integration Kit.

The ASECard for Windows Starter Kit includes cards, software licenses, the ASEDrive IIIe smart card reader and a CD containing all drivers, Personalization and Card Manager tools as well as full documentation.
