(PRWEB) April 23, 2004 -- The Penn State Football team's first annual Penn State "Lift For Life" was a huge success, raising more than $13,000 for the Kidney Cancer Association in 2003. KCA board chair Paula Bowen accepted a check before more than 100-thousand enthusiastic fans.

The squad would like help in staffing drop points for contributions around the time of the annual Blue/White game on April 24, 2004. Kidney cancer survivors or their families who are interested in serving as volunteers may contact the Kidney Cancer Association at (847) 332-1051 for more information. If you reside in Pennsylvania, this is an excellent opportunity to show support for both the KCA and Nittany Lions.

The team's goal for the event is to help raise money and awareness for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney cancer.
