The Kidney Cancer Association, through a grant from Genentech, has created a simple web-based search tool intended to help patients locate an appropriate clinical trial.

(PRWEB) April 23, 2004 -- The Kidney Cancer Association, in cooperation with the U.S. Food & Drug Adminstration Office of Special Health Issues (http://www.fda.gov/oashi/home.html), with grant assistance from Genentech (www.gene.com), has created a simple web-based search tool intended to help patients locate an appropriate clinical trial using the National Library of Medicine clinical trials database and the NexProfiler Treatment Option Tool for Kidney Cancer. To access this tool point your web browser to http://www.kidneycancerhelp.com for more information.

Approximately 200,000 people in the United States are currently living with kidney cancer, a disease that claims nearly 12,000 lives each year. The Kidney Cancer Association serves constituents in the U.S. and 90 other countries from offices located in suburban Chicago.
