Zemea® Propanediol Approved as a Natural Ingredient by ECOCERT®

DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products today announced that its breakthrough product, Zemea® propanediol has been independently inspected and approved as a natural ingredient by ECOCERT®, one of the leading international organic and natural agencies.

Loudon, TN August 13, 2008 –- DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products (http://www.duponttateandlyle.com/) today announced that its breakthrough product, Zemea® propanediol (http://www.duponttateandlyle.com/products_zemea.html) has been independently inspected and approved as a natural ingredient by ECOCERT® (http://www.ecocert.com/?lang=en), one of the leading international organic and natural agencies.

Zemea® is the first glycol to receive ECOCERT® approval. Zemea® is a 100 percent natural ingredient made from corn sugar and developed for use in the cosmetics and personal care categories. It is a high performance alternative to petroleum-based glycols and glycerin in cosmetic and personal care formulations where the products purity level, low irritation and excellent moisturization properties are benefits.
