On Mother's Day Books for Brats TM Series Honors Military Moms with FREE Mother's Day E-Cards www.booksforbrats.net hosts a special series of FREE Mother's Day E-cards to celebrate and honor Mothers affected by deployment BROOKLYN, NY (PRWEB) April 27, 2004--In honor of Military Moms, Little Redhaired Girl Publishing is providing free e-cards created especially for Mothers affected by military deployment on its www.booksforbrats.net website. Little Redhaired Girl Publishing is the publisher of the Books for Brats TM series which released its "Mommy, You're My Hero!" title last year.
It's important to provide an opportunity to remind our deployed mothers, mothers of soldiers and mothers who are coping with the deployment of a partner or husband, that we are especially grateful for them on Mother's Day! Many of these Moms wont even get to spend the day with their children," says author and illustrator Michelle Ferguson-Cohen. We hope this will give children, friends and family a way to say how proud and thankful we are for these brave women!"
The program also achieves two important goals set by the author: first, to acknowledge and support military families and secondly, to encourage civilian awareness of military families' experience.
The "Mommy, You're My Hero!" children's picture book addresses deployment from a childs perspective. Its simple, non-threatening message is meant to assure and comfort small children coping with separation, as well as encouraging pride in the parents service. The books also suggest tips to maintain communication and deal with feelings of helplessness.
As a service to the military and reserve and national guard communities, a multimedia version of the book is available online free of charge to facilitate immediate need and is also available for sale in paperback version at at retail stores nationwide, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and the publisher's www.booksforbrats.net website.
Little Redhaired Girl Publishing released two titles from the BOOKS FOR BRATS series in 2003, Daddy, Youre My Hero!" and Mommy, Youre My Hero!".
