Librados' Pure Java, J2EE Connector Architecture Compliant Adapters Now Available for Sun Java Enterprise System Librados and SUn Announce PArtnership SAN RAMON, CA (PRWEB) April 30, 2004 -- Librados Inc., the company that's changing the economics of the adapter business, today announced an agreement where Librados will support the Sun Java(TM) Enterprise System with Librados' family of more than 50 pre-built Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition J2EE(TM) Connector Architecture Adapters for the Java(TM) System Application Server. All of these adapters are available to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) on a royalty free source code license basis that eliminates traditional OEM pass through payments. Low cost server license options are also available to end customers.
Customers can perform simple or complex application integration quickly and easily from the Sun Java System Application Server, a component of the Sun Java Enterprise System, or a web server environment, with the Librados family of J2EE Connector Architecture compliant enterprise application adapters.
The Java Enterprise System serves as the strategic underpinning of Sun's software strategy and provides an integrated, open, standards-based software system that delivers a core set of industry-leading shared enterprise network services that every business needs. The integrated solution includes a highly secure web services infrastructure utilizing the Sun Java System Application Server, Java System Web Server, and Java System Identity Server, components of the Java Enterprise System.
Carla Dimond, group manager, Market Development, Sun Microsystems, said, "Librados' application integration products allow customers to extend and expose enterprise application functionality into the Java System Application Server or XML and web services environments. Joining forces with Librados gives our customers a cost-effective, 100 percent J2EE standards-based application integration solution."
Librados offers J2EE products that run entirely in the Sun Java System Application server environment. There is no gateway adapter, or other software to install between the application server environment and the target enterprise application with Librados' adapters. This enables Librados' products to fully leverage the scalability and reliability features of the Sun Java System Application Server that helps customers to develop, deploy and integrate next-generation e-business applications, from basic Web publishing to enterprise-scale transaction processing. In addition, no changes are required to target enterprise applications, enabling trouble-free integration of packaged ERP and CRM applications, as well as legacy mainframe applications.
"Standards-based, loosely-coupled approaches to integration are significantly and irreversibly changing the integration landscape as we know it," said Ronald Schmelzer, senior analyst with ZapThink, LLC. "Companies like Librados are proving that integration does not have to be costly, complex, or proprietary. Integration, like much of IT, is finally becoming a commodity that all companies can afford."
"We are delighted to team with Sun," said David Richards, CEO of Librados. "We know that Java Enterprise System customers will appreciate our pure J2EE standards-based approach to application integration, as well as the incredibly low costs associated with these products, as we continue to drive down the cost of application integration by offering royalty-free application integration software."
About Librados Librados provides cost-effective and easy to implement J2EE standards-based enterprise application adapters to meet the real-time integration needs of today's Web-enabled enterprise.
